Foundational courses in phonology, morphology, syntax, oral literature, written literature, translation,
and culture. Includes teaching practice/fieldwork and a final-year project.
Advanced seminars in historical linguistics, stylistics, discourse analysis, comparative literature,
cultural studies, and research methods; culminates in a dissertation.
Doctoral research with specialization in language, literature, or cultural studies; original thesis and
publications required.

Admission Requirements
- Five (5) O’Level credits including English Language and Igbo (or evidence of language proficiency).
- UTME/DE and IMSU screening requirements as published for the session.
- For postgraduate: relevant B.A./M.A. with minimum required CGPA; proposal and referee reports.
