DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY
Sociology is a Social Science discipline that provides the needed panacea to the myriads of social problems and contending issues in the society. It is so encyclopedic in approach that being sociological is tantamount to discussing a phenomenon in it is inter-connectedness or inter-relatedness. This is what makes it very exciting and important that everybody should get involved; though not all will be privileged.
It is therefore my pleasure, on behalf of the entire staff and students of this great department, to welcome you to the department of Sociology, in Imo State University, Owerri.
